maintenance of the built environment and the protection, enhancement and maintenance of the natural environment. Our quality policy is implemented through integrated procedures that specifically target these services.
d) We have established and maintained an economic and effective framework for the management of processes to ensure that the services provided by AMIZADE Landmark Ltd. remains transparent and meet the requirements of clients of international standards, legislation and its management.
e) Good quality control is required to ensure high standards of workmanship and a commitment to delivering a project that is safe for users, and has an appropriate maintenance liability. A well developed quality management plan also benefits the Client through the integration of quality with safety and environmental management. This ultimately offers the client better value.
f) We take an integrated approach to Quality Assurance and combines quality, safety, and environmental elements into a single system. We takes into account of the fact that each commission is unique and so requires an individually planned approach to project management.
g) As work progresses the plan will be reviewed and revised as appropriate to ensure that it meets theproject demands. This process relies on good communication, and the free flow of information between all parties.

Typically, the Quality Plan will include:
• Project Document Data: a schedule indicating project titles, code numbers, drawing p re-fixes, file references, lists of files (including their locations), other data covering appropriate records of the project and their retention periods.

• Scope of Work: this would generally follow the Terms of Reference as elaborated upon during negotiations before award of the commission.

• Project Schedule: an activity timescale incorporating the Client’s implementation schedule and the maintenance period.

• Project Organization: the Organization for the Project (internally and externally) will be defined including activity assignments, responsibilities, levels of authority and lines of communication.

• Procedures: core procedures will be established to cover each major element of the scope of work (a) site conditions (b) soil information (c) material requirements (d) pile design (e) pile production (f) pile point/ location (g) pile load test (h) appointing BUET (Bangladesh University and Engineering Technology) for evaluation of pile load test result and other laboratory test (i) instructing variations and seeking approval from Clients (j) award of extensions of time (k) implementation of construction (l) seeking prior approval from Clients for machineries, materials and quality (m) preparing daily progress reports (n) maintenance inspections (o) coordinating ‘as-built’ drawings with Clients and monitoring progress of the Works etc.

• Review and verification: the technical reviews, verification and checks to be carried out including arrangements for consultation with the Client on progress and reviews.

11 Environmental Protection Legal Awareness

AMIZADE LANDMARK Ltd. has a strong understanding regarding the environment and works closely with the Clients to extend solution and develop plan to minimize environmental impact during the constructions period. All our engineers and site operators are given complete environmental training prior to the commencement of each contract.

We work and comply with the Environmental Protection Legal Awareness that Main Contractor establishes and that AMIZADE Landmark Ltd. complies with all Environmental laws.

12 Safety and Health Plan

AMIZADE Landmark Ltd. implements an integrated management system for quality, health and safety, environmental and business requirements.

AMIZADE Landmark Ltd. is committed to a full application of this policy that is vital to the health and well being of our staff. All staffs are required to implement the Quality, Safety and Environment policy with a view to achieving best practice within AMIZADE Landmark Ltd. and in the wider community. The attention to health and safety is embodied in the ethos of AMIZADE Landmark Ltd. and is achieved through a health and safety management structure and culture.

AMIZADE Landmark Ltd.’s business is concerned with the provision of multidisciplinary services. Our health and safety policy is implemented through integrated procedures that specifically target these services.

The Health and Safety Policy shall include, without limitation, details of the following:-

a) As set out in the relevant statement of policy regarding the management of quality, safety and the environment, AMIZADE Landmark Ltd. is committed to meeting its health and safety responsibilities to its staff, its clients and the wider public.

b) The statutory and contractual obligations regarding safety and health and the means by which the Operator will supervise, monitor and audit the safety assurance system to achieve due compliance;

c) The risks of health and safety associated with the Works and proposals for the satisfactory reduction or elimination of exposure to such risks;

d) The safety staff organizational structure, identifying the personnel to be engaged solely for safety assurance and first aid purposes and their duties;

e) The name of the Safety Officer and the names of the Safety Supervisors administering and ensuring compliance with the Safety Plan, together with their disciplines and the geographical area of the “operation” under the supervision of each Safety Supervisor, revised and re-issued at any time necessary to reflect accurately the current arrangement for safety supervision;

f) The powers vested in the safety staff which would enable them to take urgent and appropriate action to make the maintenance operations safe and to prevent unsafe working practices or other infringements of the Safety Plan or statutory regulations;

g) The methods by which safety and health requirements and rescue procedures will be communicated to sub-contractors, whether directly employed or not, and their compliance with the Safety Plan and all relevant statutory regulations is ensured.

h) The method by which safety procedures proposed by sub-contractors, whether directly employed or not, will be reviewed for compliance with the Safety Plan and the statutory regulations;

i) The formulation of emergency procedures, the facilities to be provided including communication facilities and the organization of rescue teams to deal with emergency situations.

j) The methods of promoting awareness of safety and health and emergency procedures amongst all persons engaged in maintenance operations, including proposals for on-site publicity and training;

k) The frequency, coverage and application of accident prevention and safety management training which shall include the requirement that all workmen and supervisory staff shall attend a safety induction course before they are allowed to commence work and “tool- box” meetings;

l) The safety gear and equipment required for the Works, including the quantity, sourcing, standards of manufacture, storage provisions and means of ensuring proper and, where appropriate, mandatory use by all persons on the work sites. Such gear and equipment should include, but not be limited to head, eye and hearing protection, reflective jacket, safety footwear, gloves, safety harnesses and fire extinguishers, fire alarm systems and first-aid equipment, safety equipment air testing and air monitoring equipment, breathing
apparatus, means of communication for working underground and in confined spaces; and life jackets for working in the river;

m) Smoking at work is not allowed. All offices are designated as no smoking offices and staffs who wish to leave the office to smoke must comply with arrangements notified from time to time by the regional director or office manager.

n) The means and frequency by which safety equipment, scaffolds, guardrails, working platforms, ladders and other means of access, lifting appliances, electrical equipment and installations, lighting, warning signs and guarding equipment will be inspected, tested and maintained and records kept and the standard below which each item will be removed from the work sites and replaced;

o) The protection of authorized visitors and prevention of entry of unauthorized persons to the construction area;

p) The first aid personnel and facilities, including arrangements for transporting the injured;

q) The records to be prepared and maintained by the Safety Officer and/or Safety Supervisors and safety support staff. The records shall include a register of the first aiders, competent persons and competent examiners, all examination reports and test certificates required under the Construction Sites (Safety) Regulations and a record of all accidents that occur
on the work sites;

r) The communication procedures to be adopted by the Safety Officer and/or Safety Supervisors such that all persons on the work sites will be kept fully informed of matters relating to safety and health;

s) The frequency, coverage and intent of regular safety reports;

t) The regulations and safe working procedures covering all safety and health aspects of the Works, and in particular the identified high risk dangers associated with carrying out the Works, including but not limited to the following:-
i) housekeeping
ii) traffic control and transportation
iii) fire prevention precautions and fire fighting equipment iv) working in confined spaces
v) excavation vi) diving
vii) hot working
viii) electrical equipment and installations

ix) welding/cutting operations and equipment x) personal protective clothing and equipment xi) cranes
xii) hoists
xiii) other lifting appliances xiv) manual lifting
xv) scaffolding and work platforms
xvi) ladders
xvii) power tools
xviii) hand tools and portable power driven tools xix) hazardous substances
xx) working over water xxi) working at heights
xxii) structural steel erection
xxiii) floor and wall openings and stairways xxiv) lighting
xxv) protection against falling objects;
xxvi) protection against lightning

u) The terms of reference, membership and frequency of meetings of site safety committees; and v) A comprehensive safety and health check-list which when completed will serve to record
whether the Operator’s compliance with the statutory and contractual obligations at the time of the inspection has been achieved. This inspection check-list shall be used during inspections by the Operator and its staff.

12.1 Other Precautionary Measures

a) Lifting Operations:
• To check winch cables and to change if any defects appear.

• Before lifting all locks fighting and wires should be checked by the operation assistant.

• During lifting operation all labors should be instructed to be far from cranes maneuvering area.

b) Open pits and holes:
• If any excavated area shall be opened for long time, the area shall be surrounded by warning taps.

c) Protection of Cables & Electrical Boards:

• All cables shall be sealed and it’s not permitted to use any cable not connected in right sealed way.

• Switch Boards shall be protected and elevated far from any water or mud sources.

LAND SHARING PROJECT (GROUP OWNERSHIP)
Since the independence of Bangladesh, the population of the county has grown fast and its capital Dhaka is called one of the mega cities in the world. So, population size is becoming higher and the land size is becoming tiny whereas everyone has right to get a home or shelter. In this regard, Amizade Landmark Ltd. introduced group ownership concept in real estate sector where lower middle-class communities can get land ownership at optimum cost. It’s a concept to gain a land by togetherness and to improve individual living standard. By land sharing project, anyone can a land ownership by costing eight to twelve Lac (8-12 Lac) regarding area of land. In this method we resolved housing problems around 362 individuals at Uttara, Mirpur, Mohammadpur, Banasree, Rampura, Badda, Dakkhin Khan respectively.
